Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the site visit forums below. The full detailed schedule is available on SharePoint (KU log in required).
- Monday, March 3 - Lawrence campus
- Tuesday, March 4 - Lawrence campus
- Wednesday, March - KU Medical Center campus
PARKING: Students, faculty and staff attending one of the HLC site visit sessions who have a valid KU parking permit can park in the Mississippi Street Garage on March 3-4 at no additional cost.

10:30-11:15am Kansas Union Ballroom | Open Forum for Institutional Effectiveness, Resources and Planning: Criterion 5 In this interactive open forum, review team members may ask attendees to respond to the following topics: the role of shared governance in planning and setting academic requirements; the use of data in planning; how the institution engages in systematic planning and improvement; important strategic initiatives; Jayhawks Rising; how assessment is linked to budgeting; the adequacy of the resource base to support the institution; and processes for budgeting and financial monitoring. | The forum is open to all KULC/KUEC/KUMC faculty, staff, and students, excluding direct reports to the chancellor and excluding direct reports to all executive vice chancellors. This forum gives the review team an opportunity to gather feedback from faculty, staff, and students about their perceptions and lived experiences related to Criterion 5. |
12:45-1:30pm Kansas Union Ballroom | Open Forum for Mission and Integrity: Ethical & Responsible Conduct Criterion 1 and Criterion 2 In this interactive open forum, review team members may ask attendees to respond to the following topics: how the institution lives its mission, vision, and values; strategic planning; how the institution supports diversity and inclusion; how the institution operates with integrity in its financial, academic, human resources, research, and auxiliary functions; shared governance; academic freedom and freedom of expression; campus climate; Jayhawks Rising; Research Rising; oversight by the Kansas Board of Regents; open access scholarship; graduate education; academic misconduct; and academic policies. | The forum is open to all KULC/KUEC/KUMC faculty, staff, and students, excluding direct reports to the chancellor and excluding direct reports to all executive vice chancellors. 1:45-2:30pm Kansas Union Ballroom | Open Forum for Teaching & Learning: Criterion 3 and Criterion 4 In this interactive open forum, review team members may ask attendees to respond to the following topics: ensuring educational quality across all delivery modes; online education; institutional learning goals; program review; assessment; general education; specialized accreditation; diversity of faculty and staff; instructor qualifications; faculty support and professional development; unit level strategic planning; tenure and promotion; student support services; academic advising; infrastructure and resources to support effective teaching and learning; transfer credit; career outcomes for students; and retention, persistence, and completion | The forum is open to all KULC/KUEC/KUMC faculty, staff, and students, excluding direct reports to the chancellor and excluding direct reports to all executive vice chancellors.
